Welcome to our educational toolkit, which aims to engage men in the prevention of Female Genital Mutilation and Cutting (FGM/C) in the U.S. This toolkit serves as a resource to help educate men, provide guidance on how to talk about FGM/C, and to give examples of how men can be involved in FGM/C prevention.

We all have a part to play in ending FGM/C. If you are a man, here, you will find the resources you need to address FGM/C with your family and community. The toolkit is separated into sections where you can learn more about FGM/C and its impact, explore the current laws in the U.S., understand the critical role men can play in this effort, and find guidance on how to have difficult conversations around FGM/C.

We are indebted to the men who gave their time and insight towards the development of this toolkit. This toolkit was designed through research and interviews with men across the U.S. The development of this toolkit was funded by Islamic Relief USA.
